PLEASE: Call the outings leader if you are interested, since plans may change.

Please join us on our outings! They are a great way to meet other members and to see some of Wisconsin's most beautiful places. Outings are open to all members and non-members. In order to participate, sign up at one of our general meetings at Bubolz Nature Preserve or contact the outings leader directly. After you contact a trip leader, they will provide you with all of the trip details.

Scheduled Outings

October 3, Saturday Ice Age Trail Hike-A-Thon, Portage County. Mark your calendars for the annual fundraiser for the Ice Age Trail Alliance taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the Iola Winter Sports Club facility north of Iola on County Hwy. MM just west of Hwy. 49. The purpose for the Hike-A-Thon is to raise funds to acquire, develop and maintain Ice Age Trail lands for the education and enjoyment of future generations. If you are willing to join me and other Sierra Club members as we hike, contact Darrel Ruechel at 715-258-5226 or at dairl@waupacaonline.net to coordinate a time. I would anticipate beginning my hike at about 9:00 or 9:30. Otherwise one can begin the hike any time between 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Darrel Ruechel 715-258-5226 dairl@waupacaonline.net More information at Portage County Ice Age Trail Chapter.
